Message From The Pastor

Growing churches always seem to evidence a desire to fulfill the Great Commandment and Great Commission. Jesus said in Matthew 28:19-20; as you are going, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

Our primary focus as Lovelace Baptist Church is to exalt Jesus and fulfill the Great Commission by being a going and growing church like the one found in the book of Acts.  Acts 2:41-42 says; then they that gladly received his word were baptized and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls; and they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.  These verses reveal the mission of Lovelace as we exist to bring glory to God by leading people to spiral birth and spiritual growth by being disciples who make disciples.

At Lovelace you will find:

• Bible inspired, evangelistic preaching, teaching, music, and Christ-centered family fellowship.
• A friendly, praying congregation where you will feel right at home.
• A kingdom focused church seeking to carrying the Gospel message of salvation to all people.
• A belief that the Bible is the inerrant, inspired, infallible Word of God.
• A place that offers opportunities for spiritual growth through Bible study and ministry.

Lovelace Baptist Church was organized in 1879 and through God's grace and mighty power many lives have been radically changed and those lives have influenced many others for the cause of Christ.  Lovelace Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church affiliated with the Tennessee Baptist Convention and the Holston Baptist Association.

We are more than a Sunday service.  We are a place where imperfect people find acceptance, with no strings attached. A place where God can do the extraordinary through ordinary people!  A place where you can come as you are.
